Close your eyes and focus on your breathing, deep breath in slow breath out, allowing your thoughts to roll around your head and disappear on the out breath allowing your body to relax and your mind to remain alert.
On the next in breath – focus on your arms, notice the tension in the muscles, now allow the muscles to relax, feel your hands relax, as you allow yourself to relax deeper and deeper.
On the next in breath focus on your legs, notice the tension in the muscles, now allow the muscles to relax, feel the tension drain from your legs as you relax deeper and deeper.
On the next in breath – focus on your pelvis, feel the tension in the pelvis, on the out breath allow it to relax – as you relax deeper and deeper.
Now focus on the chest area – feel the shallowness of your breath, feel how high it is in your chest, how anxiety and worry is breathed into the chest area – feel yourself deepen your breath as you draw it deeper into your body, as you do, feel a deep sense of relaxation spread through the body as your breathing slows and you begin to release all tension from deep within the body as you relax deeper and deeper.
On the next in breath – feel your awareness being drawn in through the base chakra – this is the base or your spine. As you breath in – feel your awareness feel sucked in, to the internal corridor, if you can’t see then sense.
In this space – feel your awareness moving along the corridor, of the base chakra. Going deep into this energy – feel your awareness come across a spiral staircase going down. Step onto the staircase and follow it spiralling down into the basement of the base energy. As you get to the bottom of the staircase – feel a door open into the depths of your base energy. In here is the cave of where you store deep rooted fears, ones that have been stored for many years, often outside of your awareness.
In your mind as you go deep into this space – you come across a figure looking nervously into a giant glass dome. As you approach – the figure points to what’s inside the dome. As you look, you see inside the glass dome you, in your world. The nervous looking figure points to what is happening inside the glass dome that it’s most nervous of. See or sense what it is. If you can’t see then sense.
What it is looking at is the levels of overwhelming building, where the figure feels it hasn’t managed your world perfectly. See or sense how within the glass dome, overwhelm is represented. Is it represented as a snow storm? As wind or rain or perhaps mist? Notice how it is presented to you.
Now looking at the nervous figure – tell it, it’s OK it hasn’t managed it perfectly. That weathering a storm is about the fruits of an enriched life. One where the soul can grow. As you say it to this part of you, watch as the nervousness of the figure begins to evaporate because it’s never been spoken to or even acknowledged for the part it plays in trying to make everything perfect.
Repeat to it, that it’s OK not to be perfect. That it doesn’t have to keep things in the glass dome trying to manage it from the outside. It can be part of that life. As you say it, say to the figure, now it’s time for you to smash the dome. As you do – feel the figure use whatever it needs to – to smash the glass dome. As it does, feel the base energy flooded with a bright golden light, feel the richness of that vibration, the warmth of it – flood the base energy and spread through the body. As the feeling spreads – feel the pressure of perfection disperse and the nervous figure change into the vibration of it’s true self, as you once ascend the staircase and return from the basement to the base chakra – making your way along the corridor
Feel a gentle calm spread from your base, right the way through your body as you begin to gently return to your physical world.
In your mind, making your way back through the corridor as you return your awareness through the base chakra, spreading through your body. In your mind imagine tree roots emanating from the bottom of your feet, imagine them planting into the ground as you feel your awareness sinking deep into your every day world as you focus on your breathing and very gently bring your awareness back into the room and when you are ready – open your eyes.
