Close your eyes and focus on your breathing, deep breath in slow breath out, allowing your thoughts to roll around your head and disappear on the out breath allowing your body to relax and your mind to remain alert.
On the next in breath – focus on your arms, notice the tension in the muscles, now allow the muscles to relax, feel your hands relax, as you allow yourself to relax deeper and deeper.
On the next in breath focus on your legs, notice the tension in the muscles, now allow the muscles to relax, feel the tension drain from your legs as you relax deeper and deeper.
On the next in breath – focus on your pelvis, feel the tension in the pelvis, on the out breath allow it to relax – as you relax deeper and deeper.
Now focus on the chest area – feel the shallowness of your breath, feel how high it is in your chest, how anxiety and worry is breathed into the chest area – feel yourself deepen your breath as you draw it deeper into your body, as you do, feel a deep sense of relaxation spread through the body as your breathing slows and you begin to release all tension from deep within the body as you relax deeper and deeper.
On the next in breath – feel your awareness being drawn in through the solar plexus chakra – this is your stomach area. As you breath in – feel your awareness feel sucked in, to the internal corridor, if you can’t see then sense.
In this space – feel your awareness moving along the corridor, the solar plexus is both your power and fear centre. This is the space in which you feel both: your power AND your fears. Fears are based in aloneness, your power is based in soul directed relationships. These are the relationships that allow expansion and growth.
As you go deeper into the corridor of the solar plexus, feel your awareness approach a door marked – aloneness. As you reach the door notice how you feel just before you open it. Do you feel dread or relief? Does your energy dread feeling alone or is it a relief to withdraw? Just notice as you open the door and go inside. Inside this space is a room full of old cluttered furniture, it feels like an antiques shop. The furniture is dusty, it’s stacked up and it’s not easy to distinguish what’s in there. From somewhere within all the furniture a figure steps forward, this is the person who looks after what’s in there. They tell you who the furniture belongs to, whether it’s your male or female line – the furniture represents the family line of aloneness. The figure tells you the eras in which the furniture came from and how it has come to be part of your inner furniture – how no one has come for it.
The figure then beckons you to a back room – passing the stacks of furniture, notice what it looks like, what it feels like as you pass it and the aloneness it represents. As you go into this back room – there is a row of jam jars on a shelf, one of them sparkles with the contents, the figure takes that one from the shelf and hands it to you. As you look closer – inside is the most beautiful butterfly you have ever seen. It’s wings sparkle, the jar is alight with it’s glow.
The figure tells you – inside is what they’ve been waiting for you to come for. Inside, the jar – the butterfly is the representation of your soul directed relationships. The butterfly represents the beauty of who you are – the beauty that’s been hidden behind the family history of aloneness, the fears that have kept them separate. In your mind open the jar – as you do, feel a huge burst of light as the butterfly is set free.
As the butterfly energy releases – see or sense what happens to the antique shop, the old furniture – notice what happens to it, it’s unique to you. Feel your power centre expand, a feeling of proud to be in it rather than ashamed of it – feel even if it’s for a moment, very proud to be in your power.
As this happens – feel a warmth expand from your solar plexus, your stomach area right the way through your body. Feel a gentle calm spread through your fear centre, right the way through your body as you begin to gently return to your physical world.
In your mind, feel your awareness leaving this space, making your way back out into the corridor as you return your awareness through the solar plexus chakra, spreading through your body. In your mind imagine tree roots emanating from the bottom of your feet, imagine them planting into the ground as you feel your awareness sinking deep into your every day world as you focus on your breathing and very gently bring your awareness back into the room and when you are ready – open your eyes.
