Close your eyes and focus on your breathing, deep breath in slow breath out, allowing your thoughts to roll around your head and disappear on the out breath allowing your body to relax and your mind to remain alert.
On the next in breath – focus on your arms, notice the tension in the muscles, now allow the muscles to relax, feel your hands relax, as you allow yourself to relax deeper and deeper.
On the next in breath focus on your legs, notice the tension in the muscles, now allow the muscles to relax, feel the tension drain from your legs as you relax deeper and deeper.
On the next in breath – focus on your pelvis, feel the tension in the pelvis, on the out breath allow it to relax – as you relax deeper and deeper.
Now focus on the chest area – feel the shallowness of your breath, feel how high it is in your chest, how anxiety and worry is breathed into the chest area – feel yourself deepen your breath as you draw it deeper into your body, as you do, feel a deep sense of relaxation spread through the body as your breathing slows and you begin to release all tension from deep within the body as you relax deeper and deeper.
On the next in breath feel your awareness being drawn in through the solar plexus, the stomach area and find yourself in the internal corridor – if you can’t see then sense. Moving along the corridor see or sense along the corridor are vines, the vines grow like weeds as you go deeper into the solar plexus, these are the vines of obsession passed through the generations.
In your mind see or sense how thick the vines are and follow the trial of the vines to a door. As you open the door, the vines as wrapped around something inside. In your mind see how thick the vines are. Do they overtake the room? Can you see what they have wrapped around? As you move closer to what they are wrapped around – notice each vine has a label tag. Going closer – read the label tags. Notice how many there are.
On each label tag are the obsessions your family members have had through the generations. Under each obsession is the source – what it is and who started it and for what reason. The deeper you reach into the vines the more secret the obsession.
One label attracts you, the one you are meant to release. Pull the label as though it were fruit you were picking from a tree. As it snaps off – that vine begins to wither – follow the vine to it’s end point. Standing at the end point is a representation of who or what the obsession has been. In your mind, see or sense how it has been there and it’s purpose, how it has impacted you.
As you see or sense this – the power it’s had over you begins to fade, as it does see or sense the space open up, this is the obsession energy you were meant to release. Feel a powerful expansion in the solar plexus as the fear held in this energy releases. Feel deep within the solar plexus what it is for you to be free of this obsession, the energy of this intrusion.
As you do feel an expansion right the way through your body as you begin to return your awareness to the physical body
In your mind imagine tree roots emanating from the bottom of your feet, imagine them planting into the ground as you feel your awareness sinking deep into your every day world as you focus on your breathing and very gently bring your awareness back into the room and when you are ready – open your eyes.
