  • “They need me.”
  • “It’s selfish to rest.”
  • “If I stop helping, who will?”

Those thoughts create 'emotional debt,' where your care for others constantly outpaces your care for yourself.

Resetting that balance isn’t withdrawal; it’s recalibration.

Because intuition thrives in calm systems, not depleted ones.

Do This Now (1-minute reset)

Next time you feel drained after helping, pause and try this:

1- Name what you just gave.
Say it quietly: “I just gave my time,” or “I just gave my emotional energy.

2 - Ask: Did they ask or did I offer?
If you offered without being asked, that’s a clue your empathy took over your boundaries.

3 - Put your hand on your chest and ask:

Do I need to rest or refuel?

  • Rest = stillness
  • Refuel = nourishment

Then take the smallest matching action within 5 minutes.

Sit down, breathe or step outside for fresh air, before your mind argues against it.

Each micro-reset teaches your body that guilt-free rest is safe.

And the more safety your system feels, the clearer your intuition becomes.
