Feeling Courageous Meditation

Close your eyes and focus on your breathing, deep breath in slow breath out, allowing your thoughts to roll around your head and disappear on the out breath allowing your body to relax and your mind to remain alert.

On the next in breath – focus on your arms, notice the tension in the muscles, now allow the muscles to relax, feel your hands relax, as you allow yourself to relax deeper and deeper.

On the next in breath focus on your legs, notice the tension in the muscles, now allow the muscles to relax, feel the tension drain from your legs as you relax deeper and deeper.

On the next in breath – focus on your pelvis, feel the tension in the pelvis, on the out breath allow it to relax – as you relax deeper and deeper.

Now focus on the chest area – feel the shallowness of your breath, feel how high it is in your chest, how anxiety and worry is breathed into the chest area – feel yourself deepen your breath as you draw it deeper into your body, as you do, feel a deep sense of relaxation spread through the body as your breathing slows and you begin to release all tension from deep within the body as you relax deeper and deeper.

On the next in breath feel your awareness being drawn in through the solar plexus, your stomach area and find yourself in the internal corridor, if you can’t see then sense. Moving along the corridor, feel the corridor narrow and a swirling vortex of energy appear that spreads across the corridor, making it impossible to pass without going through it. The swirling vortex is the energy of worry, that whips up in your internal world each time you feel it. This is the energy you often do your best to ignore.

In this space it’s a case of going towards it – in your mind take a deep breath and pass through the vortex to the other side. On the other side – feel the deep peace in the corridor. This is the energy you have always been scared to pass through – now allow yourself to feel the peace the other side.

At the end of the corridor are two doors – the one on the left is guarded by a defensive coward energy – see or sense who that shows as, the door to the right is guarded by a figure who represents your inner courage.

They open the door to the room of courage and show you inside. In this room are boxes labelled all the times you have been courageous in your life. Notice how many boxes are present. Your inner courage figure – takes you to the row of boxes of the future – one of them lights up, this is the one you’re here to experience. As you open the box – it’s a pool of water, one that shows you in the reflection the layers of courage energy to pass through – in your mind allow the water to turn pink – as it does feel yourself pulled into that energy. This is the vibration of courage and love. Feel the energy spread through your body as you allow yourself to believe, you are worthy.

Allow a deep feeling of calm to spread through your body, as you drift back through the solar plexus to your conscious awareness. Feel your awareness return to the physical world. In your mind imagine tree roots emanating from the bottom of your feet, imagine them planting into the ground as you feel your awareness sinking deep into your every day world as you focus on your breathing and very gently bring your awareness back into the room and when you are ready – open your eyes.
