My home in Languedoc

At the centre of the Grezac hill in the town of Lodève is my villa of Les Tours Carrèes. Surrounded by stunning scenery, the view stretches out towards Lake Salagou and the vast hills beyond. The swimming pool stands at the front of the villa in the most southerly position.

You can explore the surrounding countryside via marked footpaths where you will see beautiful wild flowers, apricot, olive and nut trees, not forgetting the grape vines in abundance. You may even see around the locality, including the garden, an array of exotic birds, bats and red squirrels. Or, you might decide to wander down to the bustling, very French, market town of Lodève.

Guest bedrooms
The grande maison is split into two parts; part being my family home with upstairs having five guest bedrooms, each room is very comfortably furnished and is based on two sharing, an important part of the retreat. All bedrooms have their own showers and toilets. Each bathroom has quality facilities, including temperature controlled shower enclosures. I have designed each bedroom on a simple French theme. While you are staying at Les Tours Carrees you will be my personal house guest.

The Hearts Rustique this is rustic French hearts, suitable for those who need to offer themselves a bit more love in their heart. It has twin beds, and en-suite bathroom.

The Boudoir with its feeling of decadence suitable for those who wish to spoil themselves and experience the completely over the top wow factor. This room has two large four poster beds covered in white cotton drapes, a china rose chandelier and traditional French furniture.

The Indian is for those who wish to ignite the powerful energy of the most intelligent animal on the planet. Elephants create a deep meditative and thought provoking energy in all those who concentrate on their power. If you need some time to really think some things through, this is the room for you. This room has two double beds and shower room.

The Fleur Rouge is suitable for the mysterious types who relish life situations and their privacy. This energy is for those who like to walk away, and ponder their thoughts but at other times they like to be the life and soul of any social gathering. This large room in the West tower has twin beds, cream and white furniture and shower room.

The Tower Room is in the East Tower and is in a rustic French style with cream and grey distressed furniture, twin beds and an en-suite shower room and wc. The double arched windows over-look the swimming pool and the town of Lodeve down below.

It is important to us to be ego-friendly as possible to minimise any negative impact on the environment and the local community. We try as much as possible to use locally grown and produced food from the town market or even from our own garden when in season, prepared freshly each day, the wine is from the excellent local vineyards. We use solar energy to heat our water and the swimming pool and we have our own source of water from the pure hills around. We attempt to recycle as much as possible, and we always use local builders, local tradesmen and suppliers.
