About Heidi Sawyer

Heidi Sawyer has been providing help and support to the Mind Body Spirit Community since 1996. Heidi is known world-wide by thousands of people for her concepts and abilities with intuition and the human mind. An author, speaker, and business woman, following years of helping people with their self-image and esteem through intuitive development she decided to take it a step further to involve the mind and body connection.

After years of struggling with her post baby weight, Heidi decided to follow her theory on a new approach to weight loss and body balance, following her mother's unfortunate slip up when looking at family photographs. 

Heidi's mother burst into “I am the Walrus” from the famous Beatles song. At the time she was looking at a photograph of Heidi carrying her son on the beach. Although unintentional to cause offence, Heidi found the comments of her mother to be an alarming wake-up call. She had tried numerous diets and exercise plans, none of which seemed to have a lasting effect.

It was at that point she decided to address the image people have of over-weight people and how that has a distinct effect on the psyche of the individual.

“I have been both fat and thin. I felt a distinct change in the attitude of people when I became obese. They treated me differently to when I was slim. I noticed how as a result, my self-perception changed and I lost faith in my ability to restore my health.

Following my mother
's sub-conscious mistake, I decided to find an alternative approach which wasn't based on more self-disgust or hatred. I found dieting to only exaggerate more self-punishment, and hard exercise wasn't something I felt comfortable with as it was now extremely tough on my knees and general health.

I decided to find a way of changing things that was for me. The weight was no longer my main concern it was about restoring balance, health, and self-worth. 

We
're very hard on ourselves, harder than you would dare to be towards another person, this causes an imbalance in your body. I set out to find a way to correct and regulate that imbalance”.


Why is this course different?

“The key is kindness.

If you balk at the idea of kindness it
's likely for instance you have an adrenal imbalance. Perhaps this is as a result of your personal history, maybe your early life didn't involve much emotional kindness and you've had to learn to be very self-sufficient in your adult years.  This means you don't externalise that loss, but you internalise it, towards the self. Offering a level of self-punishment that means your body has become over loaded. This for instance leads to stubborn weight gain.

The Mind & Body System is the programme I designed to restore my balance. In doing so I still ate cake, and chocolate. It was about restoring kindness towards the self through helping my unconscious world to heal. In doing so, I automatically treated myself with more care. It wasn
't a fight or self-punishment. In doing so I lost, and have easily kept off 42lbs (3 stone) of excess weight and restored my health. This is the system I designed, so like me, you can find your own Mind & Body balance.”

How a Beatles song helped me to slim down

That day I stopped dieting, I started eating and took charge of my emotional mind.

The mind and body connection is essential to make any weight loss stay. To find your core adjustment needs and discover the area of your body that is in crisis.

Once you have found the cause you are able to adjust correctly your system and go out enjoy yourself.
The programme involves starting out from a base where you can discover what is unbalanced, so the plan can be constructed around you, rather than depending on a general  programme to fit all. The free evaluation questionaire is the first step to find out the exact areas needing adjustment.

It may be digestive, adrenal, or even mind challenges,  that is the  problem.
It could be detoxifing, inflammation, hormones that is wrecking havoc. Without knowing, you will not have the solution and no amount of dieting or exercise will provide sustained success.
START THE SYSTEM
Dieting and heavy workouts will reduce your weight, but seldom will it remain, before piling it on again.

I should know, I was four stone overweight following the birth of my son. I tried diets after fad diets and looking after a baby and rebuilding my career after maternity leave was all the excerise I really had time to do.

It was when my mother looked at holiday photos of me on the beach and burst into the Beatles song 'I am the Walrus' that was the trigger to make me take serious action.
The retreats are for the seriously committed who enjoy intensive coaching and challenges amongst others of like mind. Held in beautiful setting in Heidi's private residence in the South of France, the  villa is positioned high in the hills in the peaceful Languedoc region. As a house guest you are able to take full advantage of the large 
heated swimming pool and relax on the sun terraces.
